Trend Micro Inc., the leading developer of corporate and personal virus protection software, today announced inclusion of PC-cillin(R) 6 on Windows Magazine's prestigious WinList. Each month, Windows Magazine editors test, evaluate and compare hundreds of hardware and software products and only the best rise to the exclusive WinList. The review of PC-cillin 6 appears in the June, 1999 edition of Windows Magazine.

During testing Windows Magazine labs found that Trend Micro's PC-cillin beat out the virus detection provided by Symantec's (Nasdaq:SYMC) Norton Antivirus software, stating, "When exposed to our new virus zoo of 2,914 macro and binary viruses, PC-cillin detected 2,847. Windows Magazine editors also lauded PC-cillin for providing a "quarantine" feature, which isolates a suspected virus and uploads it for analysis. The magazine found the product's reworked interface to be "familiar and easy to use" noting that an "intelligently designed" and "helpful Scan Wizard allows you to quickly scan drives, directories, files, macros, boot sectors and `Internet-related' files."
